We will be located in the Wilbur Shaw room on Legends Row. The room will be open at 12:00 noon. We will provide lunch, snacks, drinks and garage passes. The event is open to the first 100 chamber members and guests to RSVP. You must send me a list of the number of tickets you need and $10 per person. Upon receipt of this I will send you back more detailed instructions and a ticket to enter the track. Jerry Baker will speak to our group at 4:00. All Speedway residents and businesses can participate. Fill out an entry form and decorate the outside of your home and/or businesses. Starter kits and entry forms are available at The Press. Judging will take place on Sunday, May 11th and Monday, May 12th. First place winners receive $200 cash, 2 suite tickets on bump day, and a picture of your decorations will appear on the video screens at the track on Bump Day. E-mail me if you have questions. 2nd, third and honorable mention prizes will also be rewarded. We encourage all Speedway Businesses to participate.
This year we hosting it with Speedway Economic Redevelopment and have moved it to The Brickyard Crossing. There are many ways to participate through sponsorship, volunteering or playing in the tournament. See enclosed brochure.
The event is a street party for the entire family. Main Street will be blocked off to car traffic and the event will take place on the street. Gates will open at 5:00. There is no admission fee until 6:00 p.m. The evening will include live bands, kids’ activities, food and drink.
We would love for you to volunteer and bring your family and friends. We are hoping this will become a signature event for both The Chamber and The Town of Speedway. Volunteers will work a 2 hr shift and receive reserved parking, a free t-shirt, and a few free drink and food tickets. Please e-mail me if you are interested.
